What an Archive Writes

Every column the service stamps once a document or workspace has been archived.

On the Documents row

Column
Value after an archive

ArchivedFilePath
The full path of the archived copy
ArchiveRequestIdThe UID of the request that archived it
ArchivedAppTypeThe original application type, for example ACROBAT or WORDX
ArchivedFileSizeThe size of the original file, not the stub
ArchivedNameThe original document name
ArchiveIndexed1 while archived
CommentsPrefixed with the configured archive comment

On the Workspaces row

Column
Value after an archive

Archived
1
ArchiveRequestIdThe UID of the request
Name and DescriptionPrefixed with #ARCHIVE# where configured
DefaultSecurityThe security chosen in the rule or the dialog

The archive path

The default path shape is Custom1\Custom2\Class — client, then matter, then document class — followed by the file name.

\\PSL-FS01\Archive\836162\3439\JUDGEMENT\9084.1-Consent Judgment.pdf

\\server\share \ Custom1 \ Custom2 \ Class \ {DocNumber}.{Version}-{Name}.{ext}

Warning Once documents are archived this shape is effectively permanent. Restores read the stored ArchivedFilePath, so moving or renaming an archive location breaks them.

Note These columns exist for reporting. Do not hand-edit them, and never delete rows from ArchiveRequests.
